I got my first credit card when I was college. By the time I graduated four years later, I not only had my student loan to pay, but I now had some major credit card bills as well. Ten years later, I foresee that I will probably still be paying for my overspending spree from back then.
Interest rates and sustained spending have put me $28,000 in debt on just my credit cards. Even when I had excellent credit, it is more difficult to get loans when companies see how much money you owe. My husband and I want to move to a bigger and nicer house within the next assorted years. Before we can get a higher mortgage, we need to eliminate credit card debt, so credit card repair is essential for us.
Granted, that is so much easier said than done and I am by no means one who should serve talking. The very first step that we took to eliminate credit card debt was to obtain a credit report and analyse our rating. It was not good but e could see why our rating had been reduced by the credit companies.
We therefore decided to transfer some of our balances to 0 % interest cards. By doing that simple step, we managed to save almost $85 per month from interest charges. That extra $85 now goes to smash off our outstanding balance. Within about a year, that means we commit have paid about an extra $1000 from our debt. I highly recommend seeking a way to find lower rated loans to reduce some balances to lower interest rates as the first step to eliminate credit card debt.
Also, knowing that I needed to eliminate my credit card debt, I took on a part - job for a spell in while also continuing with my full-time job.
Free credit card repair is usually achieved by getting out of debt and staying out of debt. As in so many walks of life "self help and "DIY" may prove best. We didn't see one another as often as we did before but we have au fait to appreciate each other more as well. I didn't like having a part - time job but it made a huge difference to our repayment rate. As a result I have managed to put all of those earnings toward our goal - eliminate credit card debt. That difference meant I was able to pay off an extra $350 per month towards our cards.
I am of course quite a bit more tired than I used to produce with working 2 jobs, and the winter was very hard, but I understand that I will be sleeping ropes a nicer house before too towering.
I am absolutely determined to eliminate credit card debt before it controls our lives. It has for this long and I have grown way too tired of it. Some friends of ours filed thanks to bankruptcy right before the laws changed.
That was their particular way to eliminate credit card debt, but it is not for everyone. I personally could not do that. I will in future maintain an excellent credit score as the difficulty I have found when not having the ability to borrow and use credit cards is very limiting in today's world. Also in these many years of repayment I take great pride that I have always in the end paid my way, and not required state support even in the worst of times.
I have chosen to take responsibility for fullyn eliminating my credit card debt the traditional way. If I have debt, it is my fault.
All of my credit card debt was from purchasing things, not from medical bills or items I could not help. I accrued it and I will eliminate credit card debt the honest way.
It may take me longer to eliminate credit card debt than they did, but I will do it. We need to pinch some pennies and tighten our budgets in order to eliminate credit card debt and we will direct. I'm determined.
Ultimately the rule for long-term credit repair will be "always ensure that you live within your means".
